Affectionately referred to- and referring to himself as- The World's Greatest Loser, Lewenhart is the sole remaining practitioner of the Patient Fist school of defensive martial arts in its pure form. After laying his former master to rest from natural causes, Lewenhart broke the Patient Fist's noteworthy edict of nonintervention and neutrality to join the Ala Mhigan liberation efforts, justifying this step away from tradition as a "form of training".Allegedly quite empty-headed and spacey, the monk carries a naturally bright and spunky disposition despite hardship and circumstance, many attributing his level-headedness to a possible lack of thought behind those golden eyes. Otherwise, Lewenhart is a lover of company and stories, and finds a hard time encountering anybody who isn't fascinating.Lewenhart makes a hobby to wander the world in search of notable martial artists- especially mentors and owners of schools and dojo- to challenge prospective practitioners. Much as one could derive from his nickname, Lewenhart currently has an unbroken losing streak, often credited to have surrendered in almost every bout before any decisive blows could have landed. Oddly, despite the words of many of his peers, the trained eye can see budding talent in the midlander, but to this day not even he knows what lies beneath the surface.These days, Lewenhart has taken up work at The Scrapyard as a bartender with the hopes of meeting many strong fighters in passing.

The Little Man

Lewenhart once served as a Resistance supply runner. Hardly a noteworthy role in the grand picture, but a necessary part to play. Despite mostly working solo, running smaller shipments of medicines and herbs with discretion, Lewenhart was very chatty with Resistance frontliners, and often found himself losing bouts in his downtime. Maybe you saw a friend kick his butt? Maybe Lewenhart encountered you in passing? Has your character mingled with the lesser members of the resistance and heard about him?

Greatest Loser

Despite contrary belief, all of Lewenhart's losses were not out of cowardice nor weakness. Lewenhart has a tendency to challenge masters of respective crafts of war to further hone his defensive capabilities. A trained eye could see a respectable display in these fights, while others choose to believe Lewenhart to be the Fool's Monk embodied. Did Lewenhart challenge your former mentor only to lose? Did a peer refuse a challenge from the man? Have you witnessed a sparring match firsthand?

Patient Fist

The Patient Fist monastic tradition traces back to the falling of the meteor in Gyr Abania, during the founding of Rhalgr's Reach. Few who once claimed to be the remnants of this defunct order practiced a wholly defensive martial art with little means of offense, often acting under a mindset of self preservation and honing the soul and body. The Patient Fist style, however, exists in almost every form of traditional martial art, many of its principles and fundamentals established in the defensive halves of various styles. Does your character recognize some of Lewenhart's moves at a fundamental level? Has an old master of the craft visited your school to give a lesson once upon a time?

Lewenhart bartends at The Scrapyard in hopes of meeting many strong brawlers and fighters in passing. A sociable sort, Lewenhart loves challenges and company both, and is quite easy to get hooked into a conversation and various shenanigans. Come say hi!

Last Pillar of Faith

Lewenhart is the sole surviving practitioner of the Patient Fist monastic faith, and the purest form of its defensive martial art. A sect not known for its indoctrination of new followers, Lewenhart survives only by youth, the rest having passed of natural causes. Lewenhart struggles to find balance between his own path and maintaining the final bastion of the faith and philosophy, and as such loves to teach and introduce people to the fundamentals of his former traditions.

Fool's Monk

Lewenhart loves to lose, deriving victory from loss in his own way. As such, it's quite easy to paint Lewenhart to be a doddering fool for a great number of his behaviors. Do you feel like winning a match? Does your character need to test their mettle against a wall of a fighter? Challenge Lewenhart! He's not likely to win, but will offer up more than enough challenge to shake the rust off the old blade.
